Longan
Longan is a well-known Vietnamese fruit. The famous quality – large, thick pulp, small seeds, succulent, sweet and characteristic aroma are elements that make Vietnamese Longan different from others, especially Longan grown in Hung Yen, Northern Province in Vietnam.
Longan can be served fresh or dried. In order to produce the high quality of dried product, the fresh longans are harvested, washed, then peeled, seeded and dry in an electric oven, ensuring food safety and hygiene.
Thanks to the modern technology and a strictly controlled drying process, longan after dried retains its flexibility, sweetness and aroma. Minerals such as calcium, sodium, iron and magnesium remain the same after dehydrated, retain full nutrients compared to the fresh form.
Longan is used in variety culture, along being used as food and ingredient, or adding flavour into tea, dessert, longan is applied and used to medical uses, a medicine to deal with forgetfullness, nervous weakness, and insomnia.
